Summer is finally here, and with the Covid restrictions of the last two summers finally in the rear-view mirror, we can once again enjoy the Isle of Wight and all that it has to offer.
Whether you’re planning a series of day trips, or taking the family for a fun weekend away, there is plenty to do on the Isle of Wight this summer.
Fun Days Out
If you’re after a day of fun and laughter for the whole family, the Isle of Wight has a whole host of great attractions for all ages. Whether you’re a thrill seeker or an animal lover there is an attraction for everyone on the IOW.
Take a look at some of the Island’s most popular attractions:
With over 14 beautiful beaches to choose from, the Isle of Wight is the perfect destination for any beach babe or amusement lover. If sunbathing and sandcastle building is your thing, the sandy shorelines of Ryde and Sandown Beach are the place for you. Ryde offers spacious pickings, with the warmest bathing waters on the island. Sandown Bay has miles of golden sand, a pier, and eclectic seafront to enjoy.
Take a walk on the wild side this summer by participating in some of the many fun activities found inland on the Isle of Wight. Go wild and play a round of crazy golf, or team up with your family and friends and take on an outdoor obstacle course.
If the water is more of your thing, find your sea legs and take in the sights with a chartered boat trip around the glorious coastline, or make waves by trying a new water sport such as surfing or bodyboarding.
Food and Drink
Finding a great place to stop for a light bite to eat or a thirst-quenching drink isn’t a difficult task on the Island. With a variety of restaurants and beach side cafes to choose from, you’ll never be far from some delicious food and a refreshing drink.
Whatever you choose to do on your visit to the famous Jurassic Island, you’re sure to have a wonderful time on the Isle of Wight this summer, and if you see an Acclaim van or truck – give our driver a wave!
