Why choose Acclaim?
Acclaim is an independently owned, innovative and customer-centric logistics provider, with premises just outside Southampton and in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. We have delivered high quality pallet and parcel delivery services throughout the UK and Europe for over 27 years.
Combining worldwide geographical coverage with local customer service, our dedicated friendly team is just a call away, so you know your business is in safe hands with Acclaim.
Pallets distributed through Acclaim are carried in accordance with RHA and CMR Conditions of Carriage. This means that they are covered up to £1,300 per tonne (maximum liability). However, should you require more comprehensive insurance for your freight, we can arrange enhanced insurance upon request.
Half and quarter pallet sizes are based on the height and weight of your palletised goods. This means that tall but light freight and small but heavy freight, can be shipped more economically.
Acclaim Logistics offers a competitive, cost effective, high quality, pallet delivery service. Pallet delivery companies in the UK that advertise 'cheap pallet delivery services' are unlikely to provide the same level of benefits and service, so the cheapest pallet delivery is not usually the best option.
Pallet courier delivery varies in cost depending on the quantity of pallets you send, how frequently you send them, your location, each consignee’s location and the dimensions and weight of the pallets.
UK delivery pallet sizes are usually the same standard dimensions. The footprint of a standard pallet has dimensions within 120cm x 100cm. Euro pallets have a footprint of 120cm x 80cm. Plastic and wooden pallet measures are the same.
An oversized pallet is any pallet that falls outside of the standard pallet dimensions of 120cm x 100cm.
You can view a short video on how to properly secure and shrink wrap your palletised freight here.
At Acclaim, we offer Southampton-wide pallet collection, and delivery UK wide.
Whilst Acclaim can handle dangerous goods, they should not be sent through the pallet networks as a standard pallet.
Yes. In order to book a pallet delivery, your goods must be transported using a pallet. If you cannot palletise your goods, contact us on 023 8066 5950 and ask for our Special Services team.
Collection and delivery vehicles have tail lifts and are equipped with hand pump trucks. The driver will move your pallet on and off the vehicle for you. You do not need to have a forklift onsite to arrange collection or delivery.
To book a pallet delivery, you will need to know the dimensions and approximate weight of the pallet you wish to transport, as well as the full collection and delivery addresses including contact phone numbers.
The price you are quoted is for one delivery attempt. If the consignee is not available to accept delivery, you may incur an additional re-attempt charge. Our ETA service (whereby the consignee is sent a text on the day of delivery, advising of an approximate delivery time) greatly reduces the risk of missed deliveries, and therefore of re-attempt charges being incurred.
Pallets sent through the Palletways network can be fully tracked.
No. We offer delivery options for full pallets (up to 2.2m in height and 1.2T in weight), half pallets (up to 1.1m in height and 500kgs), and quarter pallets (up to 80cm in height and 250kgs). We also offer a light pallet category (up to 2.2m in height and 750kgs in weight), and mini quarter pallets (up to 60cms in height and 150kgs in weight). Whatever your freight, we have a cost-effective pallet category and delivery option.
We offer both premium and economy delivery services, where premium typically means next working day, and economy is usually 2 – 3 days. These transit times can be slightly longer depending on location (e.g., deliveries to the Channel Islands, Ireland, or the Scottish Highlands typically take a little longer to arrive).
Yes, we offer a Saturday AM delivery service, plus timed, AM and PM delivery slots during the working week (Monday to Friday).
