We were thrilled to be asked to support a local barn dance fundraiser held by the Isle of Wight branch of the MND Association. The event was held at The Steam Railway Station at Havenstreet with a local band, ‘The Crew’ providing their entertainment free of charge.
We were pleased to donate a gift hamper for their raffle which was filled with lovely treats which we’re sure were enjoyed by the winner! The evening raised a fantastic £782.94 for the MND Association.
Motor Neurone Disease affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time and has no cure. The disease is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. The Motor Neurone Disease Association focuses on improving vital access to care and research while campaigning for those who are living with the disease.
Donating to the Motor Neurone Disease Association could allow the charity to train Association Visitors to give support to a person living with MND, help to fund MND Support Grants to give someone with MND more independence, and further their research.
