We were delighted to support the Earl Mountbatten Hospice’s Walk the Wight event once again this year by providing a curtain-sided vehicle for use as a mobile stage for the band. Thankfully the weather was better than expected, which meant that the truck’s roof could be used to provide shade rather than shelter from the rain!
This fantastic fundraiser, which is now in its 26th year, comprises a spectacular 26.5 mile walk across the breadth of the Isle of Wight, from Bembridge in the east to Alum Bay in the west. Around 8,000 people take part annually, and all money raised goes towards patient and family care at Newport’s Earl Mountbatten Hospice and to homes throughout the Island.
Our congratulations go to all of those who took part – we hope that the very special views of the Island made it worth the blisters and aching feet! Thank you too to the dedicated team of volunteers, without whom the event could not take place.
