After 13 years in business, Steve Crabb of Island-based Steve Crabb Couriers and Light Haulage has made the very difficult decision to retire, passing all business operations to Acclaim Logistics, the Isle of Wight specialist with whom Steve has worked closely for several years.
Through sheer hard work and an unwavering focus on customer service, Steve and his team have built a reputation for providing a quality service with a personal approach. Steve’s team provided Isle of Wight businesses with an efficient and reliable means of delivering freight around the Island and an invaluable link for distribution on the Mainland.
Steve Crabb said: “I’d like to thank everyone for the business they’ve placed with me over the years, but after much heartache, I’ve finally made the decision to retire.
I’ve been negotiating with Mark at Acclaim Logistics for a period of time now and they have very kindly agreed to continue to service all my customers. Acclaim have warehousing on both sides of the water and run multiple trailers and small vans between the Isle of Wight and Mainland daily, so I’m confident my customers will be well looked after.”

Working in partnership with Red Funnel, Acclaim operate 20 crossings per day between Southampton and Cowes, providing a same day and next day delivery service for parcels and pallets. They also have a drop off point within the Red Funnel terminal at Southampton. From parcels to pallets, sheds, windows, white goods, building materials and garden and home furniture, Acclaim are well set up to handle most types of household and consumer freight. They also run a dedicated two-man delivery team for larger items.
